Job summary

M&R talent Ltd is seeking a commercially driven Lead Advisory Manager to play a key role in the expanding Corporate Finance team in Manchester. The role involves leading transactions from inception to completion, overseeing junior work and liaising with partners and clients.

You will build client relationships, contribute to information memoranda, due diligence, and commercial negotiations. A background in lead advisory with several years’ experience and strong financial/analyical skills is

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA or CFQ qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong financial analysis and Excel / PowerPoint skills.
• Several years’ experience in a lead advisory role; deals in the £5m–£50m EV range.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage corporate finance transactions from inception to completion with Partners and Directors.
• Ability to lead certain transactions with partner/director oversight.
• Build relationships with clients, mainly on sell-side transactions with private equity exposure.
• Prepare information memoranda and review junior work on memoranda.
• Manage full due diligence and contribute to commercial/legal points.
• Prepare pitch documents and contribute to pitch meetings.
• Support team growth and identify business opportunities.
• Collaborate across Corporate Finance and the wider firm.
• Manage junior resources, development, workflow and review.
• Handle research, transaction and sector analysis; prepare valuations and returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with Partners and Directors to lead and manage corporate finance transactions from inception to completion
• Have the ability to lead certain transactions with partner/director oversight
• Build strong relationships with clients, working predominantly on sell side transactions, with private equity exposure
• Prepare information memoranda and review junior work on information memoranda
• Manage the full due diligence process and begin to contribute to commercial / legal negotiation points
• Prepare pitch documents and contribute to pitch meetings
• Support the team’s ongoing growth, including beginning to identify relevant business opportunities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Corporate Finance and the wider firm and group
• Manage junior resource, including assisting in their development, managing workflow and reviewing work
• Manage research and analyse transactions and sector analysis
• Prepare financial valuations and returns analysis
• Have started to build a network of professional contacts
