Job summary

Kier Rail is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join our Rail team on nationwide projects across the UK. You will oversee the quality, safety, and commissioning of M&E installations on construction sites, acting as the client’s on-site representative to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in M&E building services installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Testing and commissioning qualification (C&G 2391 or similar) and CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations for compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections ensuring health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports, site instructions, and progress photos.
• Oversee witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent.
• Act as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination.
