Job summary

Kier Group plc in the United Kingdom is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join our Rail team on nationwide programmes. You will oversee mechanical and electrical installations on site, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across projects from major stations to renewals.

As the client’s on-site representative, you will inspect M&E installations, supervise testing and commissioning, maintain records, and coordinate with the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain detailed site records, including inspection reports, site instructions and progress photos.
• Oversee and witness testing and commissioning activities to verify system performance meets design intent.
• Act as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure coordination.
