Job summary

Kier Rail is hiring an MEP Technical Supervisor to oversee on-site mechanical and electrical installations across nationwide rail projects in the UK. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

As the on-site client representative, you’ll coordinate with subcontractors, support testing and commissioning, and help deliver projects on time and to the required standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in M&E building services, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building regulations and health & safety requirements.
• CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification; Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports and progress photos.
• Oversee, witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to ensure design intent.
• Act as the link between Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to coordinate on site.
