Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team across the UK. You will oversee mechanical and electrical installations on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, regulations and project standards, while representing the client on site.

You will review testing and commissioning activities, maintain detailed records, and coordinate with subcontractors and the Construction Responsible Engineer to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for rail infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in M&E building services/E&P installation, inspection, testing and commissioning
• Strong knowledge of relevant building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements
• Hold a relevant Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar) and CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and inspecting M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards
• Conducting routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintaining detailed site records, including inspection reports, site instructions, and progress photos
• Overseeing, witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent
• Acting as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification

Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar)
