Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead the design, coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health systems on major data centre projects worth £40-250 million. You will be the key interface between consultants, subcontractors and construction teams to ensure uptime and compliance with program, cost and operational requirements.

The role requires driving bid activity, supporting live projects, and managing 2 smaller scopes with energy, drive and focus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience managing MEP design from concept through commissioning.
• Proven ability to coordinate with consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEP design from concept through to commissioning and handover.
• Oversee design of LV/MV electrical distribution and UPS systems.
• Lead cooling systems design and BMS/controls integration.
• Ensure compliance with uptime standards and building regulations.
• Coordinate with CSA teams and specialist vendors.
• Review subcontractor designs and tender submissions.
• Support commissioning strategy and project handover.
