Job summary

iBC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our residential services in Thurmaston. You will support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives, following individual support plans, and ensuring dignity and choice.

We invest in staff development, offer comprehensive training, progression opportunities, and a competitive hourly rate of £12.81. Full-time, 36 hours per week, day and night shifts. Join a team committed to real impact and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Support adults with learning disabilities to the highest standard in line with their support plan and individual needs.
  • Encourage and empower people to make choices and life decisions in line with Mental Capacity Act requirements.
  • Assist with everyday activities and participation in home, social, leisure, and work activities.
  • Support health needs as required, including assisting with medications and appointments.

  • Role: Support Worker

  • Pay Rate: £12.81 Per Hour

  • Shifts: Days/Night

  • Full time: 36 hours per week


Duties Include


  • Support people with learning disabilities to the highest standard and in line with their support plan, cultural needs and wishes.

  • Support and encourage people to make choices and life decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act requirements.

  • Assist and encourage people to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual’s choice.

  • Support people with their health needs as required, e.g., taking medication and attending doctor’s appointments.

  • A positive can-do attitude as well as a caring, patient, and reliable nature.

  • Be able to develop great relationships with service users and the team

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Have a good work ethic
