Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people?
Do you have experience supporting individuals who may find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships?
In recent years, there has been a significant focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences.
We are currently seeking practitioners to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and complex needs on a 1:1 basis for the remainder of the Academic Year at a specialist primary school in Nuneaton, with an option to progress onto a contract with the right school. As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will support pupils within the classroom and run activities outside the classroom. You will work alongside the class teacher to ensure appropriate support for the students.
This position is full-time, with comprehensive support and guidance, and opportunities for additional training. It is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils in school or alternative settings, particularly those with SEND and complex needs, but we are also considering candidates without previous experience.
