Job description

Skills Coach – Youth Worker

Up to £35,000 per annum, experience dependent. Remote with travel required to meet business needs.

You will demonstrate a strong understanding of working at an appropriate level within a youth work environment.

You will be familiar with community engagement strategies, local services, and support networks to meet youth working needs.

Additionally, an understanding of legal, ethical, and data management requirements to support individuals and communities effectively.

Providing a varied programme of delivery in line with the required qualification standards, including teaching, training, support, mentoring, and development of learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engagement with employers and learners to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Deliver qualifications across a range of programmes where occupationally competent, following quality processes and in line with the eTraining continuous Improvement strategy.
  • Maintain a caseload of learners delivering sector-specific programmes.
  • Support learners to achieve the highest pass possible in EPA.
  • Participate in ongoing self-assessment activity.
  • Work flexibly in the field and across multiple sites, as directed by the line manager.
Skills & Experience
  • D32/33/A1/TAQA/CAVA equivalent.
  • (E) L3 AET (E) L2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date occupational competence in standards delivered.
  • Self-management and effective workload and caseload management.
  • Relationship management skills, developing and maintaining productive relationships with team, management, learners, and stakeholders.
  • Customer and employer-focused, understanding learner and employer needs.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car during working hours with the ability to travel.
