Job summary

Oxford Health is seeking an experienced administrator to support the Adult Mental Health Team. You will be the first point of contact for patients and provide comprehensive admin support to clinicians across the team.

The role requires strong IT and word processing skills, the ability to handle competing priorities, and a commitment to safe, compassionate NHS care. A DBS check is required on onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Excellent word processing skills and experience with full range of Windows software.
  • Able to create databases and spreadsheets/presentations.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workload in a challenging and demanding environment
  • Able to deal effectively with a variety of people including patients, carers, staff, and other professionals
  • Proven ability of working in a team environment and delivering team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Process and resolve face-to-face enquiries and telephone calls/emails from patients, relatives, staff, and other professionals, promptly and sensitively making autonomous decisions to signpost to appropriate clinician or alternative service, ensuring messages are dealt with or passed on quickly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with team members, providing a flexible service and being willing to assist staff with a variety of development work as and when required.
