Job summary

Northern Healthcare is recruiting a Mental Health Support Worker at Adamson House, Manchester. You’ll support residents with daily living, wellbeing and recovery on their individual care journeys, delivering compassionate, person-centred care from day one.

We provide full training, paid DBS checks, structured induction and career progression. You’ll join a supportive team focused on independence, skills development and meaningful activity for people living with mental health needs.

Qualifications

• A caring, positive and person-centred approach.
• Experience in care, support work, mental health services or Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Two satisfactory references covering the last three years.
• Ability to complete an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by us).

Responsibilities

• Develop daily living skills for residents.
• Assist with cooking and meal preparation.
• Help manage appointments and medications.
• Support budgeting and household tasks.
• Encourage education, employment and community activities.
• Promote confidence and independence, emotional wellbeing and recovery.
