Job summary

Northern Healthcare is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker at Hyde Park House, Wakefield. Join a dedicated team supporting individuals with mental health needs on their recovery journey and helping them lead fulfilling lives.

You will provide daily living support, assist with meal prep, appointments, budgeting, and access to education or community activities. Training begins day one and ongoing development is offered.

Qualifications

• Caring, person-centred approach to support.
• Experience in care, support work, mental health services, or a Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting a family member, friend or individual with additional needs is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily living skills.
• Cook and prepare meals.
• Manage appointments and medications.
• Budget and household tasks.
• Help residents access education, employment and community activities.
