Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in an acute mental health setting in the UK.
• Practical manual handling skills and BILD Accredited TMVA training.
• Right to work in the UK and own transport with a valid driving licence.
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to supporting patient wellbeing.
• Registration with Social Care Wales is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support trained nurses in delivering direct patient care within a mental health environment.
• Observe, monitor, and record patient conditions to inform care plans.
• Provide therapeutic care with dignity, compassion, and honesty to support patient recovery.
• Assist with rehabilitation and treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment in line with health and safety protocols including manual handling and TMVA procedures.
• Support patients' mental wellbeing and safeguarding adherence.
