Job summary

BCHA is seeking a compassionate Recovery Beds Support Worker for its mental health accommodation service in Weymouth. You will guide customers transitioning from hospital wards, using psychologically informed, person-centred approaches to support recovery goals and everyday independence within a supportive, homely environment.

The role operates on a 7-day rotating shift pattern, working with a multidisciplinary team to promote wellbeing, safety and progression to independent living or the next

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health settings or supported accommodation is beneficial.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with people facing challenges.
• Comfort with multidisciplinary team environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for customers transitioning from mental health wards.
• Work collaboratively to understand individual needs and recovery goals.
• Develop customer-led support using person-centred approaches.
• Provide information, advice and practical support for recovery journeys.
• Support customers to build confidence, resilience and independence.
• Promote choice and autonomy, ensuring customers remain at the centre of decisions.
