Job summary

BCHA is seeking a Mental Health Recovery Worker (22.5 hours per week) on site at Alder Hills, Poole. The role supports customers leaving mental health wards, providing a safe, homely environment and practical assistance to progress towards independence.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, using person-centred and psychologically informed approaches to help individuals identify goals and develop strategies for recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for customers transitioning from mental health wards.
• Work with customers to understand needs, preferences and recovery goals.
• Develop customer-led support using person-centred approaches.
• Provide information, advice and practical support for recovery education.
• Help customers build confidence, resilience and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate records and support plans in line with policies.
