Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Nursing Support Worker (Mental Health) to join the PICU at Cwm Seren. Band 3, permanent contract, full- or part-time hours, 11.5 hour shifts across days, nights and weekends. Welsh language ability is essential for this post.

You will work with the MDT to provide holistic, person-centred care, support recovery, and help maintain the highest standards of safety and compassion in a busy inpatient setting in Carmarthen.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent with relevant care experience.
• Strong communication skills, empathy and patient-centred approach.
• Welsh language ability is essential for this post.

Responsibilities

• Assist the MDT in providing holistic, person-centred care to service users.
• Provide compassionate and non-judgemental care in a busy inpatient setting.
• Support night and day shifts as required; ensure effective handovers.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication within the team.
