Job summary

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Rota coordinator to support the Medicine division in rostering medical staff and maintaining clinical safety. You will oversee rotas for all medical grades and manage recording of planned and unplanned absences.

The role requires calm, detail‑oriented work, the ability to work in a team and autonomously, and a good working knowledge of NHS staffing rota issues including the Working Time Directive.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating medical rotas.
• Knowledge of NHS operations, rota issues and Working Time Directive.
• Proficiency in Excel and rostering systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and produce rotas for all grades of medical staff in the Medicine Division.
• Coordinate recording of planned and unplanned absences (leave, sickness).
• Assist rota leads and General Manager with rostering tasks.
