NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a full-time Medical Secretary for the busy Diabetes/Endocrinology Department. The role involves supporting healthcare professionals, managing appointments, and handling administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should possess essential organizational and keyboard skills, along with relevant experience with specific software tools.

This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri, 9am 5pm(can be flexible).
Medical Secretary required to support consultants/nurses and pharmacists in very busy Diabetes/Endocrinology Department. Excellent organizational & keyboard skills required. Trakcare & Winscribe experience are essential. Knowledge of SCI Diabetes Database would be an advantage. Secretarial experience is preferred. Must have pleasant telephone manner and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment. Required to make appointments, manage discharge lists, manage waiting lists, type clinic letters/reports and manage consultant clinics. Must be able to make decisions and prioritise workload.
