Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support to identified medical teams in the North Manchester Division. The role includes acting as PA for consultants, line managing medical support secretaries, and ensuring timely completion of discharge summaries and clinical correspondence.

To provide a comprehensive administrative service to identified medical teams within the North Manchester Division. The post holder will act as a PA for a number of consultants and line manage the bases medical support secretaries, where applicable to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner. The Medical Secretary will undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence and actioning any requirements identified within the typing. They will be responsible for the management of administrative duties within their area of work including; ensuring the allocation of discharge summaries and their timely completion, updating and circulating the on-call rota as required, answering and managing calls from patients and their carers / relatives and other health and social care professionals. They will be responsible for supporting the Trust in achieving relevant performance targets.
