Job summary

We are looking for a highly organised, detail oriented Medical Secretary to join our professional and friendly secretarial team.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include handling all GP and consultant correspondence, typing letters (audio-typing), processing referrals via e-RS, managing patient queries, liaising with consultants, hospitals and other healthcare providers.

Processing insurance reports, assisting with confidential patient records in compliance with GDPR and NHS standards as well as general administrative support to GP's and the wider team.

Hours

  • 2/3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday and one other day during the working week)
  • Times - to be agreed (example: 9.00am - 4.30pm)

  • Previous experience using EMIS Web and audio typing.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately process letters and referrals.
