Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Minimum typing experience required.
• High school graduate or higher with related science coursework or degree.
• One year of technician training or military lab procedures acceptable.
• Two years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Medical Technology principles and data interpretation.
• Ability to calculate and interpret analytical results.
• Capable of producing rapid, reliable results during high volume.
• Proficient with laboratory instrumentation and data correlations.
• Understanding of lab science in clinical context.
• CPR certification annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and rapid lab results per procedures and safety rules.
• Follow specimen handling, processing, reporting, and recordkeeping procedures.
• Maintain quality control and calibrations documentation.
• Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies per physician orders.
• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care, vital signs, and triage.
• Respond to physician and nurse requests promptly and respectfully.
• Adhere to corrective action policies when performance issues arise.
• Troubleshoot test systems and notify supervisors when needed.
• Understand all checklists and perform duties accordingly.
• Use correct medical terminology and stay updated on policies.
• Sterilize and set up instruments; stock lab and treatment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in treatment and center areas.
• Attend mandatory trainings including CPR and drills.
• Participate in staff meetings and center operations.
• Be flexible to work at any center as needed.
• Support during breaks and outages to maintain care.
• Operate and troubleshoot medical/office equipment as trained.
• Complete other duties as directed.
