Job summary

Patient First in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lab Technician to support rapid, quality test results and accurate record-keeping across centers. You will follow procedures for specimen collection, processing, reporting, and maintain safety standards under supervision.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, knowledge of laboratory principles, ability to multitask during high volume periods, and proficiency in venipuncture and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of laboratory principles.
• Ability to produce rapid, reliable lab results during high volume (100+ patients/day).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency in using laboratory instrumentation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Providing quality and rapid lab results with knowledge of laboratory analyses, procedures, and safety.
• Following specimen collection, handling, processing, reporting, and record maintenance.
• Adhering to quality control policies and documenting QC activities.
• Ordering lab supplies as directed.
• Notifying clinicians when patient is ready for exam and relaying questions about lab needs.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with patient treatment and care.
• Fostering teamwork and a positive professional atmosphere.
• Providing warm, friendly service in all interactions.
