Job Description

THE POSITION: Medical Communications is part of our integrated commercial services. This role is crucial for building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. Responsibilities include call center staffing for product information requests, adverse event and product quality issue intake, and medical writing.

This is a home-based, full-time position ideally located in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. The applicant must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or UK.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate English documents into the target language and vice versa, delivering responses via phone or in writing.
• Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.
• Disseminate drug information verbally or in writing.
• Identify and report adverse events and product complaints, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Write narratives for adverse events and product complaints during intake and for medical inquiries.
• Coordinate responses to quality-related complaints, collaborating with departments like Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.
• Critically evaluate medical literature to develop information for dissemination.
• Participate in miscellaneous projects such as market research, system development, and sales training.
• Perform medical writing tasks.
• Handle on-call responsibilities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB

• Maintain and improve customer service quality.
• Work from home or European hub office.
• Work US hours, 9-hour shifts between 2pm and 2am CET, Monday to Friday, with possible work on bank holidays (day off in lieu).
• Contribute to process improvements impacting call center metrics.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Life Sciences or healthcare field.
• Strong clinical background with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and native Spanish.
• Strong translation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Pharmacy or related advanced degrees (e.g., MSc, Pharma D).
• Experience in call centers, medical information, pharma industry, or clinical settings, including medical writing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and medical information systems.
• Positive attitude, strong communication, innovation, and high integrity.
