Job Description

The Medical Information Specialist plays a vital role in our Medical Communications team, which is part of our integrated commercial services. This role involves building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. Responsibilities include responding to product information requests, identifying and reporting adverse events and product quality issues, and medical writing.

This is a home-based, full-time position ideally located in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. The candidate must be legally eligible to work within the European Union or the UK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Translate documents between English and the target language, providing responses verbally or in writing.
  2. Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.
  3. Disseminate drug information verbally or in writing.
  4. Identify and report adverse events and product complaints, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  5. Write narratives for adverse events and product complaints.
  6. Coordinate responses to quality-related complaints with relevant departments.
  7. Critically evaluate medical literature for developing information for healthcare professionals.
  8. Participate in miscellaneous projects such as market research, system development, and sales training.
  9. Perform medical writing tasks.
  10. Handle on-call responsibilities as assigned.
  11. Perform other duties as required.
Job Expectations
  • Maintain and improve customer service quality in the Medical Communications Call Centre.
  • Work from home or European Hub Office.
  • Work hours are between 8am-6pm CET, Monday to Friday, with possible work on Bank Holidays (day off in lieu).
  • Contribute to process improvements impacting call centre metrics.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Life Sciences or healthcare degree or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical background with excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level) and native Spanish speaker.
  • Strong translation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmacy or MSc in Life Sciences or Healthcare degrees preferred.
  • Experience in call centers, medical information, pharmaceutical industry, or clinical settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Medical Information Management Systems.
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication, innovation, and high integrity.
