Job summary

The role demands a hands-on approach with customers, suppliers and site teams to develop technical solutions, secure new business and ensure profitable delivery while upholding safety standards and RAMS across projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical sales, estimating and/or project management within gas systems or related engineering sectors.
• Experience preparing detailed estimates, customer quotations, RAMS, bills of materials and project programmes.
• Proven ability to coordinate site-based projects, labour and resources.
• Good commercial awareness including project costing, budgeting and margin management.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication, organisational and customer relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Undertake site surveys to establish project requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Prepare cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Produce professional customer quotations with defined scope and assumptions.
• Manage follow-ups, resolve queries and convert opportunities into orders.
• Manage projects from order to handover.
• Prepare project programmes, BOMs and documentation.
• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors for efficient delivery.
• Liaise with customers, site teams and contractors on access and schedules.
• Prepare RAMS and ensure site safety arrangements.
• Provide site supervision and monitor progress, workmanship and quality.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate when needed.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handovers.
