Job summary

Stark Connect | Gas is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead safe, compliant delivery of gas metering installations and exchanges, focusing on systems above 2 bar. You will own projects from design to handover, coordinating engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates bring IGEM/IET accreditation, GAS instrumentation expertise and strong planning, with a track record in high-pressure metering and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• IGEM or IET accreditation is essential.
• Experience installing, commissioning and diagnosing gas instrumentation.
• Knowledge of PSSR, IGEM and IET standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and instrument loop diagrams.
• Understanding hazardous-area requirements and Ex certification.
• Contractor management with CDM awareness.
• Strong planning, budgeting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and Stark offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage gas meter installation and exchange projects, controlling budgets, programmes and customer expectations.
• Review and approve designs, integrating electrical instrumentation and telemetry interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership for metering systems above 2 bar.
• Prepare cost plans and competitive quotations for future orders.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure appropriate resources.
• Maintain compliance with standards and Stark procedures.
• Coordinate commissioning, inspection, calibration, maintenance and handover documentation.
• Support technical investigations and mentor engineers and contractors.
• Coordinate out-of-hours Meter Emergency Service cover.
