Job summary

KIMS Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Devices Safety Facilitator to support the safe management of medical equipment across the Maidstone site. The role focuses on registering, maintaining, safety-checking and preparing devices for use, while liaising with external maintenance providers to ensure timely preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; experience with records and schedules.
• Strong IT skills, including spreadsheets and databases, with ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Confident communication with clinicians, managers, suppliers and contractors in a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Medical Device Management: maintain accurate medical device register and traceability.
• Maintenance and Servicing: coordinate planned maintenance with external providers to stay safe and compliant.
• Safety Alerts and Incidents: review safety alerts, recalls and notices; support investigations as needed.
• Training and Staff Support: maintain staff training records and provide guidance on safe equipment use.
• Governance and Compliance: support policies, audits, risk assessments and regulatory documentation.
