Job summary

KIMS Hospital Maidstone is seeking a highly organised Lead Inventory and Stock Control Officer to manage Medical Consumables, Implants, and other non-clinical products across theatres and key locations in the hospital. Reporting to the Inventory and Stores Manager, you will lead the Inventory Control Officers, maintain perpetual stock records, and support the Scan for Safety programme.

You will oversee consignment stock, cycle counts, supplier replacements, and continuous stock-taking processes

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong work ethic and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock replenishment across clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Oversee consignment stock and supplier-managed inventory.
• Support implementation and expansion of Scan for Safety.
• Coordinate continuous stock takes and cycle counts.
• Monitor expiry dates and arrange supplier replacements.
• Conduct stock reviews with budget holders and department leads.
• Process deliveries, returns and loan kits.
• Maintain accurate stock records and system data.
