Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Medical Equipment Maintenance Technician to join the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) across Basildon, Southend and Mid Essex Hospitals. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding and calibration on a wide range of medical devices to ensure safety and availability for clinical use.

Working across clinical and workshop environments, you will develop and maintain equipment records, support audits and contribute

Competenze

• Medical equipment servicing
• Degree Level Electronics / appropriate experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft application software

Mansioni

• Provide specialist technical support for a wide range of medical devices to ensure safety and availability.
• Commission, calibrate, maintain, repair and deploy complex medical equipment.
• Investigate faults, analyse test results and provide effective solutions.
• Carry out planned maintenance and ensure accurate records are kept.
• Support clinical users with safe operation and training where required.
• Work with clinical teams, IT and suppliers to resolve issues and maintain service standards.
• Ensure equipment is ready for deployment and respond to urgent faults.
• Monitor stock levels and support procurement of parts and accessories.
