Job summary

We are looking for someone with Administrative and Secretarial skills to join our busy but friendly Admin Team. The job is varied and interesting and no two days are the same. Applicants will need to be comfortable with dealing on a day to day basis with anyone from fraught patients to Consultants providing administrative and secretarial support to our 4 GP Partners. The role is vast and can be challenging but it is also extremely rewarding knowing the superior care being provided to our large practice population. We would prefer someone with experience in both areas but full training can be provided. Having a good sense of humour is always a benefit and welcomed by the team! Hours required are 35 per week being 9am to 5pm with an hours unpaid lunch break (although these hours can be flexible for the right candidate).

Main duties of the job

The main duties for the role (and this really is not exhaustive) are:

Scanning of post onto medical records, dealing with daily emails, internal and external post, internal tasks from other team members, patient sick notes, recalling patients, smear register, medical reporting, patient record requests, safeguarding reports, referrals, dictations, death certificates & crematorium forms, coroner referrals and reports, QOF, claiming, patient complaints, booking and cancelling clinics.

This may seem like a very long list but it does make for a very interesting and varied role.
