NHS Blood and Transplant seeks an administrative support member for the Microbiology Services Clinical Team. Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small multi-disciplinary team, including doctors, nurses and other health care professionals where the role you perform will directly contribute to saving and improving patients lives.
Your work will be varied and interesting and you will use your customer/communication skills to enhance the high-quality service that our team provides to a range of agencies including blood/tissue donors, hospitals, organ donation teams and other NHS and government agencies across England.
You will be a member of a team that is one of NHSBTs primary links to donors and hospitals, interpreting their needs, managing communication and providing a high-quality service to hospitals and the patients they serve, as well as to blood, tissue and organ donors whose altruistic donations form the foundation of our service.
As a department we believe in personal development, and you will have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the NHS Blood & Transplant by attending interesting monthly lunchtime lectures on everything from clinical case updates to Zika virus.
The working hours for this role are flexible between 30 and 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the jobIn this role you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support to the Microbiology Services Clinical Team, acting as a liaison point for donors, other NHS organisations and various external agencies at all levels. Your duties will include:
