Job summary

Oakley Medical Practice in Scotland is seeking a Practice Manager for a full-time role. You will lead and develop a mixed team, manage finances, HR and service delivery in a busy, semi-rural setting near Dunfermline.

PRACTICE MANAGER- Oakley Medical Practice

Salary: Negotiable

Contract Type: Permanent

Oakley Medical Practice, located 6 miles outside of Dunfermline, is seeking to recruit a Practice Manager. This is a full-time role and is an amazing opportunity to join a well-established practice.

We are a medium sized, semi rural practice which serves a practice population of approximately 9000 patients in the West Fife area. We have a mixed team comprising of GPs, ANP and Practice Nurses, supported by an experienced admin team. We work out of a health board building, with support staff including district nurses, health visitors, pharmacy, CTAC, and health board ANP.

The practice uses Emis (soon to be Vision) and Docman. We are proud of the professional, friendly and fun environment that we have created and as a teaching practice provide a warm welcome to our medical students, as well as FY2 placements.

The ideal candidate may already be a practice manager, an aspiring deputy practice manager or a manager from another sector with transferable skills. They will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience within the NHS, and Primary Care specifically, is desirable but not essential.

The role involves financial and human resource management for the practice, alongside business acumen. The candidate should have excellent leadership and communication skills at all levels, and the vision, willingness, and drive to ensure the continued success and development of our practice.

A competitive salary will be offered, which is dependent on experience. Membership of the NHS pension scheme is available.
