Job summary

Randstad Education in Bromley is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Assistant for a Level 3 Media programme. This 1:1 role focuses on enabling the learner to access coursework through media knowledge, person-centred support and practical guidance.

You will foster independence, assist with media tools, and contribute to development plans while ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing in a college environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Media, Journalism or closely related discipline.
• Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• DBS check or willingness to apply (Enhanced).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 technical, educational and accessibility support to a Level 3 Media student.
• Break down complex concepts and guide practical tasks with media tools and software.
• Develop student self-advocacy, study skills and confidence in class and college activities.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, safety and well-being as required under college guidelines.
• Track progression and contribute to person-centred support plans with teachers and managers.
