Job summary

Randstad Education is partnering with a welcoming Further Education college in Bromley to recruit a Learning Support Assistant with a Media focus. You will deliver targeted 1:1 support to a Level 3 Media student, blending subject knowledge with practical educational assistance to help them progress and achieve qualifications.

We are looking for a candidate with a Media or Journalism background, a recognised qualification, and at least Level 2 in English and Maths.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification or degree in Media, Journalism, or closely related subject.
• Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Strong communication, empathy and adaptability to support independent learning.
• Ability to reliably commute to the Bromley campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 educational, technical, and accessibility support to a Level 3 Media student.
• Assist the learner in understanding course content, deadlines, and using specialist media equipment or assistive technology.
• Support the student's personal development, social skills, and self-advocacy in line with target outcomes.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, safety, and general well-being as required within the college environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and the learning inclusion team to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 educational, technical, and accessibility support to a student taking a Level 3 Media programme.

What We Are Looking For
