Fixed-term 9 months with a possibility of extension.

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and energetic Media and PR Manager to lead on consumer PR campaigns during a busy and exciting year for Historic Royal Palaces.

As a charity, our strategy is to reach further and take the palaces and their stories to more people. In this role, you will develop and implement creative consumer PR strategies that deliver against these aims, and support HRP’s commercial objectives by driving visitors to our sites. You will lead on communications for major projects, exhibitions, events across our six HRP palaces, targeting local, regional, national and international media. With the ability to build strong relationships and networks internally and externally, you’ll have an eye for what makes a good story, and the communications skills needed to tailor stories for media audiences.

You will also work with partners and key stakeholders to raise the profile and develop the reputation of Historic Royal Palaces as a charity, communicating our strategy and direction to external audiences. You’ll contribute to HRP’s broadcast ambitions by supporting filming projects and working with broadcasters and production companies to shape new ideas.

You’ll need proven PR experience, excellent media contacts across print and broadcast, strong communication skills in person and in writing, tact, diplomacy and gravitas. We’re looking for someone with strong organisation and strategic planning skills, who will thrive working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
