ALTEN is seeking an experienced Processing / Manufacturing Engineer with a strong mechatronics bias to support manufacturing operations in a highly technical production environment focused on electric motor assembly and testing.

You will troubleshoot, resolve manufacturing issues, improve processes, and provide hands‑on technical support across specialist equipment, collaborating with production, quality and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in electronics and manufacturing fault‑finding.
• Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to daily shop floor operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and production issues across assembly and test processes.
• Support operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure efficient processes.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, processes, and work instructions.
• Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Assist with readiness activities and introduction of process improvements.
