Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to industrialise complex aerospace components in a regulated environment. You will own products from design release to costed manufacturing concepts and create repeatable production processes.

You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, quality, and process engineering to deliver quality, safe parts. This role offers ownership of production cells and processes, opportunities to optimize workflows, and close interaction with

Qualifications

• Proven manufacturing engineering experience in precision or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong background in complex fabrications and sheet metal forming.
• Experience with high-performance metals like titanium or nickel alloys.
• Ability to interpret drawings and drive concepts to production.
• Experience with PPAP and PFMEA activities.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
• CAD proficiency, especially SolidWorks, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components.
• Translate drawings and concepts into robust, repeatable production methods.
• Support development and optimisation of manufacturing cells and workflows.
• Collaborate with quality teams on PPAP and PFMEA activities.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and manufacturability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support product introduction and ramp-up.
