Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic in Leeds offers a 4-year Engineering Apprenticeship that builds a career as a multi-skilled engineer. You will study towards a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship, followed by a Level 4 HNC top-up during Years 3 and 4.

Your first year is spent at Appris engineering training centre with site-based learning from Year 2, and day-release study thereafter. Some accommodation may be arranged near the college; travel to the training centre is required.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at grades 4-9 (A*-C), including Maths, English and a science subject.
• Must be aged 18+ by start of Year 2 to meet on-site safety requirements.
• Must have UK residency for at least 3 years by start of apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete college, apprenticeship and HNC learning requirements with accurate records.
• Work safely and follow health, safety and quality standards at all times.
• Build practical mechanical, electrical, controls and automation skills.
• Assist Technicians with maintenance, fault-finding and repairs.
• Learn to use maintenance systems and record work and parts.
• Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Support shutdowns, inspections and upkeep of engineering standards.
• Collaborate with site teams and learn from experienced colleagues.
• Demonstrate development and increasing self-sufficiency throughout the programme.
