Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our client’s team in the West Midlands to develop cutting-edge antenna positioning systems and bespoke electromechanical solutions for defence, government and commercial applications.

You’ll contribute from concept through prototype, testing, validation and production, with opportunities to work across engineering life cycles and collaborate with production and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with design tools and passing engineering reviews is preferred.
• Strong hands-on problem solving in harsh environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop electromechanical antenna positioning systems and customer-specific solutions.
• Support motor sizing, motion control and control system selection.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
