Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our West Midlands team. You will develop antenna positioning systems and bespoke electromechanical solutions for defence, government and commercial clients.

You will contribute to design, testing, prototypes and production support, with a focus on motion control, robotics and electromechanical integration. SC clearance is required before start.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
Defence, military or harsh-environment experience is advantageous but not essential.
Experience in mechatronics, electromechanical design, robotics, motion control or control systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop electromechanical antenna positioning systems and bespoke solutions.
Support motor sizing, motion control and control system selection.
Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
Assist with software and GUI development for product control systems.
Build, test and validate prototypes.
Collaborate with engineering, production and commercial teams to deliver products.
