Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our West Midlands engineering team. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge antenna positioning systems and bespoke electromechanical solutions for defence, government, and commercial markets.

You will be involved from concept through prototype, testing, validation and production, with responsibilities in electrical design, motor sizing, motion control and system integration.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or apprenticeship or equivalent is required.
• Experience in defence, military or harsh-environment applications is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop electromechanical antenna positioning systems and customer-specific solutions.
• Support motor sizing, motion control and control system selection.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
