Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and integrate advanced electrical control systems for marine propulsion and auxiliary engines. The role emphasizes embedded systems, mechatronics, and software procedures to optimize performance.

Responsibilities include prototyping, testing, and addressing product weaknesses, with a strong focus on analytical thinking and collaboration across engineering teams. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Strong background in designing electrical control systems and mechatronic devices.
• Experience with embedded systems and product testing.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop robust solutions.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Designing advanced electrical control systems and integrating electrical and mechanical components.
• Designing and implementing software and procedures to control electro-mechanical systems.
• Prototyping mechatronic devices with motors, sensors, and actuators.
• Identifying weaknesses in products and addressing issues pre- and post-production.
