Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd, Wimborne, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and optimize electro‑mechanical control systems and related software. The role involves integrating electrical and mechanical components, prototyping mechatronic devices, and addressing product weaknesses.

Applicants should hold an accredited Engineering/CS/Materials Science degree and will work onsite five days a week in the Wimborne area.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and mechatronic devices.
• Ability to develop software and procedures for electro‑mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced electrical control systems and integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Design and implement software and procedures to control electro‑mechanical systems and mechatronic devices with scientists.
• Prototype mechatronic devices with motors, solenoids, gears, sensors and springs.
• Identify and address areas of product weakness in finished products.
