Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking Mechanical Technicians/Fitters for client sites in Doncaster and Burton. The role starts on an initial contract basis with 37-hour weeks and overtime opportunities.

Pay is £24.70ph Umbrella or £18.20 PAYE (inside IR35) with an uplift for some afternoon shifts, and a 3–4 month training period at Doncaster with mileage at 30p/mile. The project moves to Barton under Needwood (DE13 area) with potential permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior Rolling Stock experience is Desirable but not essential.
• Good Mechanical experience is essential.
• Level 3 Qualified or equivalent.
• Good attitude and willing to be flexible.
• You must also be able to pass a Medical, Drug & Alcohol screening.

Job description

Mechanical Technician/ Mechanical Fitter

This role would be suitable for: Car Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Mechanical Technician, Ex forces Engineers etc

We are looking for Mechanical Fitters on an initial contract basis to work for an engineering company in Doncaster then move to Burton.

The standard rate for this role is £24.70ph Umb/£18.20 PAYE (inside IR35) with overtime enhancements after 37 hrs. The role is expected to be Monday to Friday days predominantly with some Afternoons (paid at a 20% uplift), 37 hours per week with occasional overtime.

This will be a 3/4 Months training at Doncaster with Mileage paid for travel to this depot (30p per mile) and other enhancements.

The role will then move to a new facility being built in Barton under Needwood (Burton upon Trent, DE13 area) where there will be the opportunity to go permanent after a short while.
