Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise in Doncaster is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our rail vehicle maintenance team. This hands-on role covers outfitting, overhauls and essential mechanical repairs on rail vehicles, with early and late shifts as listed.

You will service, repair and reassemble components, while ensuring safe, efficient operation in a busy workshop. The position requires proven experience in mechanical fitting and a proactive approach, with a strong focus on safety and quality

Responsibilities

• Carry out mandatory servicing and mechanical repairs on rail vehicle systems and components.

• Install, maintain and repair heavy mechanical components
• Carry out mechanical stripping down, re-fitting and repair work to rail vehicles.

Salary:£36,800 rising to £39,847 after training

Early Shift:Monday to Thursday6 - 2:15pm Friday 6 - 11:30am Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10:15pm, Friday 11:30 - 5:00pm

The Role
