Zusammenfassung

Omega Resource Group in Rushden is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You’ll diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and support improvements to maximise machine uptime on a 12-hour shift pattern.

The role requires Level 2/3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, hands-on maintenance in manufacturing, and comfort with hydraulics and pneumatics. A proactive, team‑oriented problem-solver will fit well.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Strong mechanical maintenance background within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical fault-finding ability (desirable, not essential).
• Proven ability to diagnose faults and carry out efficient repairs.

Aufgaben

• Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems across production equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machinery reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement effective, long-term solutions to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment performance (OEE).
• Maintain and service site equipment, utilities, and general mechanical systems.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Complete maintenance records and ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards.
• Assist with basic electrical fault finding and repair where required.

We are recruiting for a leading global manufacturer operating within a fast-paced production environment, supplying high-quality packaging solutions
