Zusammenfassung

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Rushden to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems. The role includes 12-hour shifts, 3 days on, 2 off, and nights on a rotating pattern, in a fast-paced packaging manufacturing environment.

You will perform planned maintenance, support improvements to equipment performance, and maintain thorough maintenance records while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Strong mechanical maintenance background within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical fault-finding ability (desirable, not essential).
• Proven ability to diagnose faults and carry out efficient repairs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems across production equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machinery reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement effective, long-term solutions to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment performance (OEE).
• Maintain and service site equipment, utilities, and general mechanical systems.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Complete maintenance records and ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards.
• Assist with basic electrical fault finding and repair where required.
