Mechanical Technician

Location: Bedford

About the Company

Our client is a leading researcher in the aerospace industry, supplying into various sectors. They operate through innovative methods and are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Carry out PPM, inspections, and monitoring of equipment in use, including meter readings.
2. Work on a Transonic Wind Tunnel and associated equipment such as rotating machinery, large valves, pipework, water pumps, and air compressors.
3. Install new mechanical equipment on site.
4. Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

1. Time-served Mechanical Apprenticeship.
2. Mentor apprentices and less experienced employees as required.
