Job Description:

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technical Services Manager to join our team at Worcester Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus, and benefits package.

Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, the post holder will coordinate maintenance services in accordance with the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Concession Agreement at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Responsible for managing Assistant Technical Services Managers and trade staff, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with statutory, NHS, Trust, and Company guidelines.

The post holder will also collaborate with Service Providers to deliver customer-focused, cost-effective, and efficient maintenance services.

What will you deliver?

• Manage and coordinate directly employed labor and subcontractors for breakdown responses and Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Ensure compliance with statutory, NHS, Trust, and Company guidelines
• Provide technical assurance advice on maintenance services
• Review and develop service quality and control expenditure as delegated by the Contract Manager
• Train staff on health and safety responsibilities according to statutory, NHS, and Trust guidelines
• Manage stakeholder relationships to enhance service perception
• Prepare estimates for new works and support project execution
• Handle budgetary control, including departmental budgets, stock, and contracts
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents through the appropriate systems
• Participate in emergency estate and facility duties as directed
• Achieve Authorised Person status in relevant disciplines
• Participate in on-call rota and emergency repairs as required

• ONC or BTEC NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline
• Authorised Person qualification to HTM standards
• HNC in relevant engineering discipline
• Management skills and ability to work independently and in a team

This role requires a DBS Standard check.
