Job description

G4S Facilities Management is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (Gas and Medical) on a full-time, permanent basis based in Oxford, Churchill Hospital, OX3 7LE.

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Various shifts

We are seeking a talented individual with excellent communication skills who can supervise the site team and oversee all site HFM matters. The role involves managing medical gas and ventilation maintenance, remedial, reactive, and project work packages in accordance with standards.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and undertake maintenance, project, reactive, and remedial work within scope.
2. Handle reactive breakdowns safely and effectively, prioritising tasks in line with the payment mechanism.
3. Create RAMS and SSoW for work undertaken within remit.
4. Review and produce maintenance reports and technical procedures for building maintenance activities.
5. Supervise a team to carry out maintenance, inspections, and repairs on systems including ventilation and medical gas equipment.
6. Diagnose faults on systems within scope and rectify where necessary and within qualifications and competence levels.
7. Assist in developing maintenance routines, procedures, risk assessments, and maintaining technical records.

The Ideal Candidate

• Ability to undertake training and be appointed as APVENT and APMGPS.
• Experience in building and facilities maintenance in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of team motivation and experience in mentoring and staff development.
